Description

Montclair’s Microscopy and Microanalysis Research Laboratory instrumentation includes a Hitachi S-3400N scanning electron microscope equipped with Bruker EDX and EBSD detectors, Hitachi transmission electron microscope, Nikon C2 Plus Confocal Laser Scanning Microscope, Bruker Dimension ICON Scanning Probe Microscope, Zeiss and Nikon light microscopes, Leica ultramicrotomes, and ancillary equipment for specimen preparation and tissue thick/thin sectioning. MMRL is overseen by a full-time director who provides basic and advanced training in imaging techniques and sample preparation. MMRL welcomes external clients.

Terms of loan/booking

Available for loan - internal and external

MMRL hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. when the University is on the summer schedule). The facility will be open outside of these hours to qualified independent operators by special arrangement with the MMRL Director/Co-director or instructors.
