Research on Youth Thriving and Evaluation (RYTE) Institute

Organization profile

Organization profile

The RYTE Institute explores questions related to youth thriving, developmental science, character development, and program evaluation and planning from a systems science perspective. Our work is grounded in research-practice partnerships, elevating the practitioner perspective, and empowering practitioners by enhancing their program planning and evaluation capacity. The RYTE Institute uses a relational developmental systems science approach to research and evaluation to promote youth thriving. The RYTE Institute also works to build an evidence-base within developmental science that specifically addresses the role of multiple individual (e.g., self-regulation, sense of purpose) and contextual factors (e.g., family, school, neighborhood, involvement in out-of-school activities) on adolescent development with a focus on positive youth development. We also work to promote and extend novel approaches to evaluation and methodology.
