Courtney Elizabeth Reinisch, DNP, RN, APN-C, FNP-BC, DCC is an Associate Professor in the School of Nursing at Montclair State University, Montclair, NJ, USA. She served as the Undergraduate Program director since the School’s inception in 2016 until 2020.

Since joining MSU, Dr. Reinisch has advised and educated registered nurses seeking their baccalaureate degrees. She has supported the school’s expanding mission to include a generic undergraduate program in 2017 and a graduate program in 2018. She has been certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner since 1999 and enjoys working with underserved communities. Her research and practice interest are in DNP education issues, certification, urgent care, emergency medicine, and latino underserved communities. 

Dr. Reinisch received her BA in Biology-Psychology from Immaculata College, BSN, and MSN from the University of Delaware, and her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Columbia University. Prior to joining Rutgers, Dr. Reinisch was an Assistant Clinical Professor of Nursing at Columbia University School of Nursing.

Dr. Reinisch has presented and published numerous times both nationally and internationally. She is an Executive Committee member of the American Board of Comprehensive Care. She was instrumental in achieving accreditation status for the certification examination administered by the American Board of Comprehensive Care.

DNP education issues, certification, urgent care, emergency medicine, and latino underserved communities.
