Dr. John Wang is a full professor at Montclair State University, New Jersey, USA. Dr. Wang teaches Production/Operations Management, Decision Support & Expert Systems, Business Statistics, Operations Research, Operations Analysis, Management Sciences, and other courses. He is a member of Information Resources Management Association (IRMA), Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS), The Decision Sciences Institute (DSI), The Production and Operations Management Society (POMS).

As an assistant professor, Dr. Wang worked at Beijing University of Science and Technology and taught Management Science, Operations Research, System Engineering, Optimal Control Theory, etc. Having received a scholarship award, he came to the USA and completed his Ph.D. in Operations Research from Temple University. He has published over 100 refereed papers and six books. 

Dr. Wang has also developed several computer software programs based on his research findings. He has served as a guest editor and referee for many highly prestigious journals. He has served as track chair and/or session chairman numerous times on the most prestigious international and national conferences. His long-term research goal is on the synergy of operations research, data mining and cybernetics.
