Dr. Kimberly Killmer Hollister is currently the Acting Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Montclair State University. In this role, Dr. Hollister is responsible for overseeing the academic programs of the University, providing leadership to the Division of Academic Affairs, which includes: the College of Humanities and Social Sciences; the College of Science and Mathematics; the College of Education and Human Services; the College of the Arts, including the School of Communication and Media and the John J. Cali School of Music; the Feliciano School of Business; the School of Nursing; University College; the Graduate School; and the University Library. The Provost works with the Deans of the colleges and schools and with staff in the Provost’s Office to manage academic operations and to identify new academic opportunities for the University. Kimberly is responsible for overseeing a $200 million annual operating budget.
As Dean of the Feliciano School of Business, Dr. Hollister is responsible for providing overall strategic and academic leadership for the AACSB International Accredited Feliciano School of Business comprised of five departments, over 3,800 students and 105 full-time faculty members. Prior to serving as Acting Provost and Dean, Dr. Hollister served as vice Dean, 2015-2020, Acting Dean, 2014-2015, Associate Dean for the School of Business from 2008-2014, and as a faculty member in the Department of Information Management & Business Analytics since 1999.
Prior to joining Montclair State in 1999, as an Assistant Professor, she held a Lecturer position at the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Hollister’s research focuses on Educational Program Assessment and Applied Operations Management. Her works have appeared in European Journal of Operational Research, Journal of Informatics and Education Research, Journal of Accountancy, Journal of Business & Economic Studies, Review of Business Research, Journal of Academy of Business and Economics, and the Journal of Business and Economics Research. Her teaching experience includes courses in both statistics and management information systems.
Dr. Hollister earned her Ph.D. in Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania; she also holds a B.S.E and M.S.E in Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
