Her research interests focus on innovation, constructive deviance (deviance with the intention to help others), destructive deviance (deviance with the intention to harm others), and leadership in the workplace. Dr. Gutworth's work has been published in outlets such as the Journal of Organizational Behavior, the Journal of Business and Psychology, and the Journal of Creative Behavior.
She has also consulted for companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Del Monte, and the Pennsylvania State Education Association. Through consulting work, Dr. Gutworth has experience with creating and implementing selection systems, analyzing data, designing surveys, conducting interviews, assessing both verbal and written exercises, preparing and delivering feedback reports, and developing executive reports and presentations.
