Dr. Zhu joined Montclair State University as an associate professor from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, where she was a tenured associate professor and director of undergraduate program in the department of Computer Science. Prior to that, she completed her dissertation in the Computer Science and Mathematics division of Oak Ridge National Laboratories (ORNL). Her research areas focus on parallel and distributed computing and big data system. She has published about 100 peer-reviewed articles in various journals and conferences. She received a total of over two million research and education grants from various agencies such as NSF, DOE, ORNL, Illinois State Board of Education and NVidia company.
