Dr. Yeon K. Bai is a Professor and Director of Didactic Program in Dietetics of the Department of Nutrition and Food Studies at Montclair State University.  Dr. Bai received her PhD in Health Behavior from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana with minors in Biochemistry and Inquiry Methodology.
 
Using behavioral lens to understand why people behave the way they do, Dr. Bai’s extensive work focuses on breastfeeding, infant feeding and fruit and vegetable consumption behaviors among diverse populations. Her work has established an international partnership with South Korea to improve children’s fruit and vegetable consumption. Dr. Bai’s significant contribution to theory application to understanding breastfeeding behavior has built a strong basis for current and future lactation interventions in the field.
