Abstract
Advocacy is a cornerstone of the counseling profession allowing its advancement while promoting human dignity, prevention, and wellness for the clients and communities we serve. Using qualitative content analysis methodology, we examined the interviews of 44 CSI Heroes/Heroines, collected and publicly available on the CSI website, to gain insight into professional advocacy practices, narratives, and experiences. Implications for teaching and practice, and suggestions for future research are provided.
