Abstract
Chapter 6 presents clinical supervision activities and interventions focused on co-constructing a brave space through relationships and community. This chapter contains five anti-oppressive clinical supervision interventions. This chapter introduces readers to an array of anti-oppressive interventions developed by interdisciplinary supervision experts with extensive experience in anti-oppressive practices. The interventions span various supervision formats, modalities, and supervisee developmental levels. Each intervention is structured to be adaptable, allowing supervisors to have the agency to meet specific professional needs and intended outcomes. Supervisors are encouraged to align these interventions with their chosen developmental, process, and psychotherapy-based supervision models while maintaining an anti-oppressive lens within their praxis of anti-oppressive supervision. This chapter presents five distinct interventions designed to enhance supervisory practice: Co-constructing a Brave Space Through Relationships and Community, Using Anonymous Polling to Co-construct Brave Spaces in Anti-oppressive Online Group Supervision, The Brave Space Zine, Co-Creation Supervision in the Sand, and Framing Brave Spaces Through Collage Art: A Perspective on Counseling Supervision.
