Abstract

In this paper the discrete Fourier transform is used to determine the coefficients of a transfer function of a new two-dimensional system model of second-order: x(i 1 + 2, i 2 2) = A 0x(i 1 + 1,i 2 + 1) + A 1x(i 1 + 1,i 2) + A 2x(i 1,i 2 + 1). The algorithm is straight forward and has been implemented using the software package "Matlab™". A step-by-step example illustrating the application of the algorithm is presented.
