Abstract

In this paper the discrete Fourier transform is used to determine the coefficients of a transfer function of a new two-dimensional system model of second-order: x(i ₁ + 2, i ₂ 2) = A ₀x(i ₁ + 1,i ₂ + 1) + A ₁x(i ₁ + 1,i ₂) + A ₂x(i ₁,i ₂ + 1). The algorithm is straight forward and has been implemented using the software package "Matlab™". A step-by-step example illustrating the application of the algorithm is presented.
