Abstract
Using a mixed-methods approach with inductive and deductive content analysis, the researchers analyzed 119 peer-refereed leadership articles published across 32 counseling journals from 2014 to 2023, identifying key themes, publication trends, methodologies, and top contributing authors. Findings reveal growing scholarship concentrated across 23 counseling journals. The analysis highlights core dimensions of counseling leadership, including development, frameworks, contextual influences, competencies, characteristics, and leadership profiles. The researchers outline key implications for counseling leadership research, training, and praxis.
