Abstract

To address the lack of women and minorities in CEO positions, we adopt the institutional and stakeholder perspectives and propose that CSR engagement may facilitate the establishment of organizational-level institutional logics favoring diversity, subsequently motivating firms to appoint women and minorities to CEO positions. This relationship, however, is subjected to other economic, organizational, and social environmental influences.
