N1 - Funding Information: The work presented in this volume is the fruit of roughly 15 years of collaboration amongst this group of guest co‐editors, along with many undergraduate and graduate students and other valued colleagues who have contributed to varying degrees to the framework and research presented here. This work was originally funded through multiple grants from the National Science Foundation (0535492, 0814364, 1811214) and was supported by Cornell Cooperative Extension; more recently the work was funded through grants from the John Templeton Foundation (60483) and the S.D. Bechtel, Jr. Foundation (8325). The intellectual hubs of these efforts have been located at the Cornell Office for Research on Evaluation and at Montclair State University's Institute for Research on Youth Thriving and Evaluation (the RYTE Institute). We would like to thank all of the colleagues, funders, and especially program participants without whom this work would not have been possible. Because we have witnessed first‐hand, countless times, how the RSE approach to evaluation and ECB can truly democratize evaluative inquiry and foster a culture of Evaluative Thinking in community‐serving organizations, we sincerely hope that by sharing the work in this volume, we can contribute in our own small way to helping evaluation realize its full potential in society.
