N2 - This article assesses gender dynamics in local campaigns of the undocumented youth movement. Analyzing data from several years of fieldwork in New York and New Jersey and 132 interviews with undocumented activists, community organizers, and elected officials, we find that young women experience inequality in workload distribution, visibility, and representation, which affects their postcampaign outcomes. Our research highlights the solutions implemented by young activists to address gender inequality, particularly in terms of movement goals, structure, and internal policies.
