Knowledge acquisition in user modeling and agent-based technology

Abstract

The adaptive systems such as user interfaces and agent systems must accomodate users with a wide variety of expertise and knowledge to perform various tasks. This paper discusses the issues of knowledge aquizition and representation to develop user model for adaptive interfaces and agent systems.
