Abstract

In this paper, we describe our experiments on vortex induced oscillations(VIO) and discuss the potential for harnessing energy at a small scale from this phenomenon. We use scaled up estimates from laboratory settings to argue for the need to further explore the potential of energy extraction from VIO.
