Sexual interest and behavior may be altered in persons with Parkinson’s disease (PD).1-35 Sexual dysfunction may take the form of underactivity or erectile dysfunction (ED).1-10 However, there exists a literature describing resumption of sexual activity, increased interest in sex, and hypersexuality in PD patients as a result of antiparkinsonian therapy.11-35 This chapter provides an overview of the literature to assist clinicians in identifying an aspect of disease that greatly affects quality of life.
